Basuki Ready to Participate in Teachers Centralization Policy

Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to participate in the discourse of centralization policy for management and distribution of teachers.

"We will participate it. We're ready to fund teachers management, even it's from central," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, when he became the speaker during the public discussion of Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) themed Teachers Management: Centralization and Decentralization at Kartini Hall South Jakarta, Tuesday (12/22).

On that occasion, he also asked central government especially Education and Culture Ministry to support in recruitment of best quality teachers.

100 PAUD Teachers Participated in Competence Training

"The central government should support us. Those who are not appropriate to be teacher, should move," he told.

He then suggested the government to give certainty that there are no more students left behind in education.

"In our country, there is no limitation for opening school, as long as not against state ideology, basic law applied. It must be assured that no more students left behind," he expressed.
